Aerides virens is a small to medium grower, with waxy pink to white coloured, fragrant flowers to 2cm. The spur is green. Spikes are erect then pendulous, to about 20cm long with many flowers. A delightful small growing species that will produce side shoots. Basket or small slotted pot, it seems to grow well in a variety of medias and is very tolerant provided it is well drained. Comes from Thailand, and is a warm to intermediate grower. Aerides virens is a form of the well known Aerides odoratum, with differences in the plant form and flowers.
