A large growing species from New Guinea, also known as Bulbophyllum graveolons. A large basket is ideal, use a rich media as the plants can be semiterrestrial or rock growing in their native habitat. When in growth, use lots of water and fertiliser.
Bulbophyllum robustum is a warm grower and will need a bright sunny position. The spike is quite robust and the flower head can measure 10 inches ( 25cm) or more across.
In the drier months, less water is used and the plants do not like to be cold or wet.
