A species of the lowland teatree flats along the north east coast of Australia. Short plump pseudobulbs topped with up to 5 fleshy, canaliculate (channelled) leaves, bear a number of spikes, with a multitude of white flowers, tipped yellow, a bright purple disk on the labellum. Fragrant. Dendrobium canaliculatum is locally called the teatree orchid after its prefered host.
