A minature species somewhat like a Comparettia in growth. Basically a twig grower, the Ionopsis prefers a small mount, treefern if available or a piece of cork. Grow in a shady position, requires good air movement and when not in active growth, somewhat drier conditions. As with equitanat Oncidiums and the like, care should be taken to prevent the attack of spider mite, red spider and scale insects. An intermediate grower from Mexico to Central America.
