Very similar to Sarcochilus cecileae, and differs in a few minor ways. The flowers are usually darker pink purple and the plant tends to elongate, noticably so in a shady position. Sarcochilus roseus must have maximum sunlight, drainage and almost dry in the cooler months, with just enough water to stop dehydration. A basket or slotted pot with a coarse well drained media is essential. Sarcochilus roseus grows at a lower elevation, on the edge of rainforest, hence is a warm grower.
