A climbing species from Thailand. The plant needs a totem or post to climb, treefern is ideal. Once established, it does not need a pot or container, although a shallow basket with a central totem would be suitable for benching. Once the plant has outgrown its totem, the top can be cut and placed at the bottom of the totem to form a clump. Trichoglottis tomentosa is an easy species to grow, warm to intermediate, maximum sunlight and lots of water and fertiliser in the growing season.
