Dark green mottled foliage, purple underneath, requires heavy shade. A warm grower, every Paph grower has a different media, but the essentials are good drainage but retaining enough moisture to prevent the plant drying out. Less watering is needed in the cooler months, and attention should be paid to the appearance of the leaves, where blemishes can indicate a problem with spider mite or similar pest. Paphiopedilum concolor is a charming species and once established, and disturbed as little as possible, will develop into a specimen.
